Automotive Auction Marketplace
AutoBid Marketplace
A vehicle focused online marketplace introducing realtime auctions with transparent bidding and structured seller tools.
2026
AutoBid Marketplace is a vehicle-focused auction platform designed to modernize how vehicles are bought and sold online. Unlike traditional classifieds, it introduces real-time and timed auctions with a transparent bidding system. As the Lead UI/UX Designer, I designed the end-to-end experience across the website, mobile app, and admin platform.
LEAD UI/UX DESIGNER RESPONSIBLE FOR THE END-TO-END PRODUCT EXPERIENCE ACROSS WEB, MOBILE, AND ADMIN DASHBOARDS, USING FIGMA.

Project Overview
The main objective was to build a transparent auction-based marketplace that reduces manipulation risks and improves user trust. The platform needed to support buyers, private sellers, professional dealers, and administrators, all within a structured and scalable system.
AutoBid Marketplace is a real-time auction platform where users can browse vehicles, participate in bidding, and manage listings through structured dashboards.
The platform replaces traditional video-based auctions with an automated bidding interface that is easier to manage and technically more stable. Buyers explore listings using advanced filters and participate in live auctions. Sellers manage listings and track performance through dashboards, while administrators oversee moderation, approvals, and platform security.
Approach

Auction workflow planning and user journey mapping for buyers and sellers.
The goal was to transform a traditional classified marketplace into a structured auction-driven platform. The design focused on building transparency and trust while keeping the experience simple and intuitive.
After studying competitors in the Malaysian market, I identified gaps in auction clarity, seller analytics, and trust mechanisms. I designed a real-time bid table with automated “Call One, Call Two, Sold” logic to create auction tension without relying on live video streaming. The system also introduced configurable privacy settings to protect bidder identity while maintaining fairness.
Process
The project followed a structured product design process including research, workflow mapping, interface design, and continuous collaboration with development teams.
User journeys were mapped for buyers, sellers, dealers, and administrators to define clear interaction flows and dashboard structures. The interface was designed for desktop first and later adapted into a mobile-first system using a consistent design system.

Marketplace platforms require clarity and trust. The design avoids unnecessary visual complexity and focuses on structured layouts, clear status indicators, and consistent user feedback. Every screen was built to feel reliable, secure, and easy to navigate.
Final Design
The final design delivers a clean and structured marketplace supporting real-time auctions, advanced filtering, seller analytics, and administrative controls within a scalable ecosystem.
The system includes structured product listings, live bidding tables, automated countdown logic, dealer storefronts, and cost estimation tools.
